The Beginning

I’ve been Diagnosed Hodgkin’s Lymphoma 2^nd stage. It is a type of cancer…YUP, it is Cancer!...What??!!.The Big ‘C’ touch my life....…hmm.. .. yup I need to swallow and digests the news.  This took me months, I did my research and read up on the disease… and bla..bla bla.. 

Lucky me it’s a curable disease . Insha’Allah.  I am always positive, need extra hard work and LAYAN the treatment..

Now it is time to rest and hibernate.

How I got to Know..

A general question that people ask me... ..  how i found out about it?.... What is the symptoms? Macam mana kau tau ah?  

There are no prominent symptom in Hodgkin Lymphoma actually...is just that the disease grow and spread around lymph node and it start swelling . Eventually it will effect immune system of the body. Then u often start to get fever . Night sweat. Bla...bla.. If you browse http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hodgkin's_lymphoma you can find all the symptom.

How i found out is not from any of the symptoms ...

Im a adrenaline junky and love extreme sports,  have been in rock climbing sports for years and recently involving in downhill mountain bike sport. I always been active in competition and always consent on development of my body in the sport. I always keep a look on the progress of stamina and endurance. 

Last year, around September, i can feel my stamina in my sport not on the peak, i got tired faster.Since then, my stamina started went down. I felt my breathing become shorter and each time in a session on downhill cycling. I did ignore.....till...when i felt tired just by climbing stairs at my university where i teach,that was when i realized something were wrong. I thought maybe something stuck at my heart that make it hard to pump...So i went SDMC to check..did Xray ....Dr said all my organ was in good condition as well my heart. Only that they found out something on my chest area in between my front ribs and organs. That make breathing hard, because it compress the space.

Went for PET scan, did Biopsy......... So the news came out a week after., found in chest and neck........... Dr told its Hodgskin Lymphoma stage 2...wow...hihi... date was 25102011.


Now this blog will share my journey trough Chemotherapy treatment, it will be going for 6 months with 12 cycle of chemotherapy, i already did my 1st cycle chemotherapy 21062012 just a day after celebrating my birthday with my family.I want it to be the day of  a new born of new Me.
